In Febuary 1987, Dani Green passed the required test and turned in her paperwork to the Industrial Commission of Arizona to become a licensed Talent Agency. Now she sits on the Board that approves such agency requests for the state. And the rest is history.
To celebrate this big event she bought herself a commercial property at 434 E Southern Ave in Tempe and the renovations are almost complete. It is scheduled to be open the end of next week.
She also has named Raquel Esqueda to be the Hispanic Talent Director. Raquel is a native of Phoenix Arizona and worked in the office with Dani shortly after she opened Dani’s Agency so many years ago. Dani felt that the Hispanic advertising business if growing so fast that it is time to invest more time and energy into securing more work for Hispanic actors. So who better to do it than someone who is a native to the community, bilingual speaking, someone who is passionate about the industry, and a dear friend of the family for 20 years.

If you want to meet with Dani you can schedule an appointment with her directly or if you have a webcam stop by her MyForum2 online office.

With the newly redesigned website and database online Dani directed her client, Frank Greiner with On Slot Productions, to the Talent_Database and within a couple of hours he called to see if we could put talent on tape. Since it was a waterpark he asked if we would audition them in their bathing suits.
The shoot took place in Southern Arizona and Talent along with a parent had to do an overnight adventure. Jeany Joyce, mother of Paul Joyce, took several production stills and said a great time was had by everyone and it was a wonderful experience. The commercial will air online for severel weeks at www.fortrapids.com.

Digital Bill Multimedia has been working on a face-lift (so-to-speak) for the web site for the past couple of months at Dani's request. The project is being completed in phases with the first phase being the redesign of talent_database without ever going off-line. This was completed in September. The new database incorporates all the databases into one so each of the talent have a mini web site with several pages within their file that includes an info sheet, composite/headhot, resume, ZED card (if Available), digital video slate and stills, and some even have their pets online.
Because this agency was the first ever in the world to have a web site with a searchable talent database online, way back in 1999, the software used to create it had gone obsolete and is no longer supported. The second phase of the project was to convert the old data into the new software and make it work and look good without going off-line. This was completed in October.
NOTE: If you haven't been to the site recently and you still see the old site when you may have to refresh the page or dump your browser's cache.
The third phase is adding some bells and whistles. I have made it user friendly for both the actor and the clients looking to film in Arizona. Adding a new resource page that separates the resources links into four new resource pages to cater to the needs of the person viewing.####
Dani received a call on her cell phone from Miller-Davis Studios out of North Carolina on our way into the office about 2 weeks ago and after a brief conversation about the upcoming shoot, he asked for a packet to be sent. Dani explained that we have all our talent online and he could be looking at talent immediately. Because he was connected to the internet already, with a cable connection, Dani walked him through his first search of the online Talent_Database over the phone. She said if the talent searches online resulted in anyone he was interested in he could go to the digitals and see a recent color headshot, bodyshot and video clip. He even used the digitals because they are in alphabetical order to select a couple of father - son and mother - daughter duos.
Within the next couple of days Mike Miller emailed Dani with his first and second choices to book 20 talent for a National Pool Safety PSA for the following week.
Dani called him back to negotiate rates and Mike told Dani that Leslie Nielsen had a near drowning experience within his family and would be working on the project and even offered his home for the shoot.
No audition... straight booking! Everyone had a great time working with Mr. Leslie Nielsen. Mike said everyone was great, prompt and it was a very good shoot.

Founder and managing director Golan Ramras and founder and executive director Chris LaMont pulled off another successful Phoenix Film Festival. Dani and I attended the first three days and had a great time and wished we could have attended Sunday from what we had heard from other actors and industry professionals.
We made it in to all the Copper Wing Award Presentations and the first night watched the feature "Happy Endings" which was distributed by Lion's Gate Films. President of Lion's Gate Films, Tom Ortenberg, received the first award presented to him by actor Tom Arnold who starred in the film. Both Tom's did seminars over the next couple of days to discuss and answer questions about topics related to the making of and distributing of films.
The next night Kevin Bacon was presented with his Copper Wing Award and discussed his film "Loverboy". He produced, directed and acted the film with his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, his kids and even his dog. Kyra was given her award on Saturday Night and then we watched the film. After the film a panel including Kevin, Kyra and the young actor that plays her son Paul, alias Loverboy, Dominic Scott Key, and Michael Bacon, Kevin's brother, who scored the film.
Kevin and Michael Bacon and the Bacon Brothers' band played Saturday night until after midnight and everyone had a great time as you can tell by the pictures.

Americs's Most Wanted hunt for Jason Derek Brown Production Stills
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Dani, Misti and I have been seeing and hearing talent from our agency everywhere. Last year was record year for the agency and it shows in the media. Whether its Bruce Miles and Ben Tyler voicing APS radio spots or the billboard in front of our office building with Jim Glendening and Alex Garcia pitching Valley Metro bus service or Vince Reign and Mira Jordan within the pages of the Bus Book.. (see pictures below)
This past weekend our building was used as a location for two new M & I Bank commercials. Dani and I popped in and took several production stills to share with you below. Dona Wood, Keith Anderson and Lauren Monroe shot on Sunday and Garret Shawkey on Martin Luther King Day. We didn't make it in on the holiday. Julie Cook from Arizona production Services was the local production coordinator for Purple Onion Productions, Inc. out of Milwaukee Wisconsin, the headquarter location for M & I Bank.
